Wataru Takasaki is a Strategic Partner and a member of North Asia Scientific Advisory Board at ARCHIMED.

Wataru has built a 40-year career in research and development at Daiichi Sankyo. As a researcher, he developed deep expertise in drug metabolite/pharmacokinetics and non-clinical safety. He then moved into broader R&D management, where he led the formulation and execution of medium- and long-term R&D strategy.

As Head of R&D in Japan and Managing Executive Officer, he led the design and management of global organizational structures and the development of global talent, with the goal of building a science- and technology-led global company that leverages the distinctive strengths of Japanese pharmaceutical innovation.

He is currently active as a partner at LANDS LLC, supporting growth across the healthcare industry.
